Classic driving shoes

"Piloti makes excellent, great looking branded shoes for automobile brands and shoes under their own name. They fit snugly so you may need to order at least one half or a full size larger than usual. I am normally a US9 but order US10 for Pilotis. Also, be careful of the sizing on websites. Some are in EU sizes, some in UK sizes, and some in Piloti sizes (possibly same as EU). I ordered through Amazon because exchanges were easy and it took me several tries before I got my size right. I also recommend ordering Piloti socks with your shoes. They are not expensive, are well made, and add to the comfortable fit of the shoes."

Sizes (great shoes nonetheless)

"I have purchased several Piloti shoes over the years- but I ordered online for the first time. . . . it seems that the sizes are different in these new models. My foot is an 11 and there is no way my foot fits the 11 with Piloti, I am sending them back to hopefully get a size 13 that should fit me. . . . and I purchased a pair of shoes as a present for my father and now I will return those and order a pair 2 sizes larger."

Shoes came quickly and look

"Shoes came quickly and look great . Not sure they are as comfortable as the Prototipos I bought around 2003. I have 4 pairs of those that I’ve kept in immaculate condition, only wear to special car events in good weather. Thanks for making this type of shoe again. !"

Prototipo Sizing

"I have now 3 pair of US size 14 all of fit differently with the oldest (10 yrs old?), the best fit. Soles worn out so gone. The other pair fit ok, wider but sole unglued so I repaired with hot glue. The new pair this week are short and tight so I am wearing thin Sox and opened laces max and don’t use last lace holes as laces too short. I am a track rat and only wear them when tracking so they are adequate for clutch and braking. I’m hoping they will stretch over time."

Fantastic shoes!

"These are great shoes! Much more comfortable than some of the older designs, such as Prototipo RS or Shift, great for driving, but not a penalty to walk in, which is awesome. Plus, they look great! Seriously considering picking up other colorways in this same model because it’s THAT GOOD! Oh, and order up from normal size as they are a bit snug, but unlike some other models, they aren’t super-narrow."

reintroduced Prototip

"It’s great to see that Piloti has reintroduced the Prototipo, my favorite (non-FIA) driving shoe. The colors seem fresher and the materials seem a little tougher than old Prototipos. Unfortunately, the sizing has changed, and there aren’t any half-sizes. It took a couple of tries to determine what size Pilotis I wear now."

Prototipo-5 Stars

"Great look. Super comfortable. Picked up two pair-black and blue. Test drove them over the weekend on a quick road trip (5 hours round trip) with open highway and traffic mixed in. Total comfort, feel, and control. I won’t drive unless I’m wearing a pair of Piloti’s. They bring as much to the driving equation as sunglasses on a bright day. Kudos to Piloti for bringing Prototipo back."

"Bought the Prototipos for my dedicated canyon run shoe. It did not disappoint. They fit like a glove and offer outstanding pedal feel. For those who find them a tight fit, I would try choosing a thinner sock- it really makes a difference."
